Van Persie Sinks City in Derby Delight!
Manchester United opened up a 6 point gap at the top of the Premier league with a dramatic late winner to sink City 3-2 in injury time. Rooney was as always, unstoppable, scoring 2 early goals to give United a shock 2-0 lead at half time. Although City dominated much of the match, they struggled to break down united and it took substitute Tevez to come on to inspire City as they mounted a comeback. City eventually equalised and looked like going on to win the match until Van Persie struck a defl.

Neo-colonisation: Africa and the land grab
A couple of weeks ago I took a phone call from Christian World Service (CWS) Public Relations and Media Co-ordinator Greg Jackson. During our conversation Mr Jackson spoke about a 'land grab', something that I'd never heard of before but immediately wanted to know more about.

Augustine, the Hippo: Theological tools for the tots
Aidan, my three-year-old son, was sitting quietly, playing with a pile of his toys. Suddenly, he pushed all the other toys to the side and grabbed a small plastic hippopotamus. He looked directly at me and declared, "Look daddy, it's Augustine the hippo!"

The good ol' days
Bruce and I met when he was in his late 50s, and I was a 17 year old school girl. He was a worldly musician, I was dreaming of serving God in youth ministry. How did we become friends? Well, because we chose to and we lived better for it. He wasn't a Christian, although we talked about spirituality and philosophy endlessly. He never held my faith against me, in fact – as the years went on, he seemed more intrigued by it.

A Time for Everything

Sometimes when I think about how blessed I am, I reflect on my life and how far God has brought me.

Culture shock in Cambodia - He said what?!
It was a hot Cambodian evening. The air was thick, sticky, sweet and sour all at the same time. Thirty of us were crammed on a bus travelling back to Phnom Penh in time for the massive water festival celebrations. My husband, Andrew, and I began chatting to the guy sitting across the aisle. We talked about our cultures; what people do when they 'date' each other, the cost of housing, our studies; everything important to three twenty-something's trying to make their mark on the world. We were del

Struggles of a Christian teenager
It's always hard to be different from the main 'popular' crowd but as I get older, it's more acceptable now than it was in my playground days, to be myself. But even in a grown up world, people still look at those who choose to be different. I am a Christian; I love God with all my heart and always strive to follow his plan for my life.

Cricket: a famous draw with a couple of famous performances
At 6pm on Monday evening, if you happened to wander past the Adelaide Oval, you would have found 22 very tired men wearing white. After 5 days of gruelling Test match cricket, South Africa managed to hang on for a nail-biting draw with the Australians in the second Test of their three Test series.
