Last month, Selina Soule (Caldrondpall.com) from New England USA said competing against transgender athletes is “heartbreaking” for biological girls who know at the beginning of the race that no matter how hard they try, the biological male athletes will win.
The result - with the help of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), Selina filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, who has agreed to investigate.
ADF has since set up a petition to encourage the Trump Administration and Members of Congress to safeguard the athletic and academic futures of young women. Isn’t it funny how when a real women’s rights issue arises, there’s never a radical feminist in sight…
“I’ve lost opportunities to compete at world-class tracks,” Selina said. “I’ve lost opportunities to compete in front of college coaches and gain attention, and I’ve lost opportunities to win titles”.
Same story
This is the same story across such sports where this same scenario is taking place, such as in England and Rugby (UK Sunday Times) – we’re waiting to hear such outcomes. Now Cyclist Rachel McKinnon a Trans has beaten World Records. Tennis giant Martina Navratilova claims transgender in women’s is insane. Cheating.
We can comment on is as follows –
Injury - what will be the outcome of a woman athlete being injured in the course of sport by the physical impact of a ‘Trans’. Who takes the wrap - The administration board that allowed such a scenario to occur. The umpire / referee who did not prevent such a situation on their watch. The insurance company who insures against sport injury. Who ?
Fair play - is fair play any longer a part of the sporting code across the board. Who determines what fair play is – How is it codified? Who might attempt to codify it? Does such a situation apply across the board.
Legal - does the Australian Parliament’s approval of same sex marriage and court rulings - now applying that ruling further afield into society - one of which is ‘Trans’ - does that settle the matter, and thus illustrating what is happening now.
Olympic women’s sport is now at risk.
Every individual women’s Olympic event might have a physical man as the Gold Medallist. Women’s team sports with a number of physical men in any of the competing teams may find the same situation. This is for real.
How did this all happen
In my submission last month on the Religious Discrimination Bill – as an illustration of how things get out of hand from good intentions, I use the Same-Sex Marriage situation.
Viz
“When the ‘same sex marriage’ was being debated in Parliament, both the then Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and the then Opposition Leader Bill Shorten both stated categorically that the Bill was ‘only’ on two people of the same sex being able to marry.
Many warned to no avail that the Bill’s implications were far broader - now we see primary schools being indoctrinated with the validity and normality of same-sex marriage and parents’ wishes and concerns being sidelined. I could go and on and on with examples across the board.
If the proposed Bills on religious discrimination / religious freedom are not rigorous in spelling this out, my fears it will be utilised by activists and others to restrict the community services this nation has always enjoyed
Examples:
- The Salvation Army could find their services curtailed
- Public Benevolent Institutions run by Christians becoming restricted
- Denominational / Church welfare arms being folded
- Nursing homes, Retirement Villages run by Churches hit
There are numerous examples
Won’t happen - don’t believe it – the same-sex marriage bill illustrates how it happens.
Dr David Milikin in his 1982 book ‘The Sunburnt Soul’ sited a figure that has never been disputed in Parliament, the main stream media or elsewhere, that 82% of all welfare in Australia have Christians as the “feet on the ground”.
Former Treasurer Peter Costello has said if the Christian contribution to Australia’s community ceased, Australia would go broke within a week.
With such acknowledged documented assessments, this religious discrimination / freedom Bill needs to be so tight that activists and others are unable to turn it around and see judicial results that curtails what Australia enjoys today.”
