The right person
Since I was a little girl I've always dreamed of what my wedding would be like. With perfect weather, the most beautiful white dress and the 'right' man. But as I grow older, the idea of meeting the 'right' man one day feels further and further away from reality. .

Mouthwatering match ups for the first week of finals
Well here we go again. Even though it seems like it has come all too soon (what am I going to do on Friday nights?) here we are once again on the precipice of the NRL finals series. And this year promises to be one of the most enthralling and mouth-watering series in recent years. Not only is there the launch of the new and improved finals system but week \'1\' has thrown up some intriguing clashes with both on-field and off-field rivalries ensuring no rugby league fan will be far from a stadium

Do we treat new Christians like bulls in a china shop?
I haven't always been Christian and I certainly haven't always loved Jesus – or the church. There was a time when everything I chased was to satiate my desire for pursuing a life of pleasure and perceived freedom. The church was an institution that could offer me nothing apart from a host of judgements and restrictions.

I have a cousin who is an ardent evolutionist
He – like so many other science-minded, hard-thinking individuals the world over – is firmly of the belief that the diversity of life on Earth came about through a series of tiny changes to various species over a period of millions (or more) of years. Fundamentally, says he, we're no different from any animals – we just have the blessing of having our DNA arranged in a particularly advantageous way.

United Bounce Back!
Manchester United bounced back from last weeks defeat with a dominant display, beating a gallant Fulham 3-2. Fulham came close with many chances and Duff may well have equalized however Van Persie scored his first goal for United with a thunderous volley in front of the Old Trafford Faithful. United are now on the up with many players back from injury.

Sorry Jesus, apparently you don't sell!
I was sitting down watching a parade recently, when I was offered three different flyers. As I examined the flyers I was shocked to realise what some of them were really trying to promote.

A Slice of Silence
To label my time with God as a "quiet time" is something slightly ironic. There is nothing quiet about my "quiet time". In fact it is filled to the brim with noisy distractions. My quiet time starts with an entrée of worship music, followed by a main course of bible digesting, and a long winded prayer for dessert. Then the meal is over, I've eaten, and I'm full.

God doesn't need your busyness
Plain and simple, we live in a busy world. 'Life' is painted as an endless appointment amongst endless coffee catch up's on top of what seems to be a never ending workload. Feeling nostalgic? I find myself more often than not tired and, well, just a little bit grumpy. Quickly, the day to day of life becomes burdensome. Perhaps simple tasks such as doing the washing or unpacking a dishwasher (albeit a tad boring...) tend to have a burdensome weight to it. Who designed life like this?

What to do with doubt?
It's a familiar story. Or perhaps it should be. A young adult from a Christian family hits university and begins to have doubts, and is confronted with questions, about their previously unquestioned Christian faith.

Fulham and Swansea Top!
The Premier League kicked off its 2012/13 season with both Fulham & Swansea recording record opening day results, both recording 5-0 wins. Fulham were impressive, playing at home to Norwich City and missing their main man Dempsey, proving there is life after the American as he looks to move away from the Cottage. Swansea travelled to London and smashed a hapless QPR as they look ahead to another successful season.

Formula 1 2012 Video killed the Radio Star
We always look on the past with fond memories, it's no coincidence that the grass is not just greener on the other side; it's also greener in our memories.

Dane performs a Swan dive onto the sidelines
Collingwood star midfielder and Brownlow medallist Dane Swan has been suspended by the club for being out drinking on Sunday night. It is a gutsy move by the club ahead of their showdown with the table topping Sydney Swans on Saturday night. The Pies currently sit third on the ladder with a loss to the Swans potentially leaving them two games plus percentage away from top spot.
