Recently we have witnessed the devastating floods in North Eastern Australia, North Western Australia and South Eastern Australia. There have also been fires close to suburban Perth, in the south west; and communities in the north west. Tropical North Queensland has now been devastated by Cyclone Yasi as well. Many lives were affected through these events. Homes were destroyed, crops ruined, deaths of animals and businesses devastated. Most importantly, precious lives were lost. .
