Under pressure
Walking home after a depressing seven hours spent in the library working on an assignment, I came across a bumper sticker on a car that read, "When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping!" I laughed. But then I thought, Could you really call yourself "tough" if you headed for the mall every time life went sour? .

Travelling. The good, the bad and the ugly. We're home!
"They can eat all day if they want, but I'm only going to eat half the day!" exclaims our seven year old during our first week in the Philippines. He had never felt this full in his life!

You can't argue with numbers
For the June issue of Christian Life I had the privilege of writing a story on some new research to come out of America. This research settled that age-old debate of 'Does child sponsorship actually work?' with a resounding 'yes'.

Too busy to care
I think it's something we all notice, from time to time, that, when we get busy it's all too easy to pay little attention to what others are up to and how they're feeling.

Warning: May cause miracles
"What does it look like to walk with the Holy Spirit in an every day, tangible way that actually affects the lives of others?" When I asked this question early in my Christian walk, I couldn't have anticipated how completely God would answer from John 16 verse 13 "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth," said Jesus when he foretold the Holy Spirit's coming. The Holy Spirit: our comforter, our counsellor, our guide – if we allow him.
