After the huge success of Pokémon Go, it was pretty much guaranteed that Hollywood would jump on the Pokémon bandwagon, And as Pokémon fans may already know is that Legendary Pictures has already aligned its writing team for the upcoming for a live-action movie featuring Pokemon.
Interestingly, the forthcoming Pokémon movie will not be about trainers catching and collecting pokémon as well as battling each other, but instead will be an adaptation of the Nintendo 3DS game 'Detective Pikachu'. The movie is likely to offer the viewer a detective look of the most loved Pokémon Pikachu in the character of a private detective.
Nintendo's 'Detective Pikachu' Sherlock-inspired trailer presents an animated Pikachu working together with some human friends.
However, Legendary Pictures' team is a strong creative team, but it is really difficult to find out their inspiration for the role and plot. The detective character of Pikachu is nowhere close to as well-known as the ever-present Pokémon Go. The character will be relatively new to audiences, who are mostly familiar with the original games' creatures and the cartoon series with Ash Ketchum and his team Misty, Brock and rivals Team Rocket.
The writing of the movie is being done by Nicole Perlman, who also worked on 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Thor', along with Alex Hirsch, who has worked on 'Gravity Falls'. A combination of both the writers will lead to a highly anticipated best-seller movie.
