Leicester City maintained their amazing form with a clinical 3-0 win away at Swansea City on Saturday to go two points clear at the summit of the Premier League table after 15 matches.
The critics have suggested Leicester might have fallen away from the top four by now however they continue their impressive start and maintain their belief in a top four finish with this efficient display in Wales.
Vardy has been the talk of the town however it was his strike partner Mahrez who stole the headlines with all 3 goals with an impressive hat trick as the visitors ran away with the victory.
Chelsea slumped to a shock 1-0 loss at home to newly promoted Bournemouth. This was Chelsea's first loss at home to a promoted team since 2001 and gave Bournemouth a crucial 3 points to take them out of the relegation zone. Chelsea are now 15th position and in real danger of missing the important European positions.
The weekends other fixtures also featured big upsets, as Liverpool fell to strugglers Newcastle 2-0 at St James Park. This was Klopps first bad result as Newcastle jumped back ahead of Sunderland in the race to avoid the drop. Liverpool couldn't contain Newcastle as their impressive form came to an end.
Other matches saw Aston Villa win a point at Southampton whilst Manchester United were help 0-0 at old Trafford to in-form West Ham. Stoke City upset Manchester City winning 2-0 at home meanwhile West Brom held an inform Spurs 1-1 at the Hawthorns.
Watford had a much needed win at home to Norwich City 2-0 while Arsenal got back on track winning 3-1 at home to Sunderland to jump back into second position.
The Premier League reaches the half way point of the season over the busy Christmas period and many questions will be asked as the weight of injuries and suspensions mount at this hectic and critical part of the campaign.
