Faith based film 'Miracles from Heaven' has bagged the Teen Choice Movie Drama award in the 18th annual award night in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The film stars Jennifer Garner, Kylie Rogers, John Carroll Lynch, Martin Henderson, Queen Latifah and Eugenio Derbez.
Miracles from Heaven was up against Creed, Point Break, Straight outta Compton, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and The Martian.
According to reports, filming the movie inspired Garner to return to church. She explained in an interview:
"This movie did bring faith back into the conversation of my life and did make me realize that my kids weren't just going to get this via osmosis because my parents had given this to me, that I actually had to be intentional and to participate in it. I think I'd been lazy about it so I got off my duff and we had a conversation and found a church we loved where we've been totally embraced and really happy."
Jennifer Garner and her co-star Kylie Rogers accepted the choice drama movie award for their film. They thanked voters for the giant surfboard.
"Thanks to everyone, we were definitely the underdog in this category. That's so exciting. It's amazing to us the impact this movie was able to have, and have all your guys appreciate it means the world to us," she said during her speech.
"All the kids who are in a hospital waiting for a miracle, don't give up hope!"
