CMS short-term volunteer Kirstin Hawkshaw says that serving in Tanzania has caused her to depend on God more than she had at home.
Recently she helped to run a seminar to help support parents of children with a disability and village community leaders. The team had scheduled the session for the afternoon to fit in with the local people's farming work.
About two hours before the seminar was due to start it started pouring with rain.
"Nobody goes anywhere in the rain as they are mostly on foot or maybe bicycle," said Kirstin. "So I was praying it would stop in time."
The rain did stop in time and about 40 parents attended the seminar along with several local leaders who were very supportive.
"Thanks to God," she said.
"I feel so much more reliant on God here in so many ways."
