Robin was born in Pontypridd, Wales, where singing in the church choir from the age of seven took him on a very different path in life to his famous schoolmate - Tom Jones!
He was educated at Howardian High School, where he excelled in athletics running a 10.6 sec/100 yards at county championships.
After training at a theological college in London, he was ordained in 1964, at The City Temple, Cardiff - foremost church of Elim Fellowship, founded in 1915, by George Jeffries one of many thousands of converts of the great 1904 Welsh Revival.
In 1962 he was married to his wife Elsa at the same City Temple church, by Pastor P.S. Brewster who was very much their 'Father in the Faith'. They now have three grown children and three grandchildren. For over twenty-five years Robin served as pastor of several Elim Churches in England and Wales, and for ten years was the senior pastor of a thriving church in West London, which grew four-fold under his ministry. During this time he lectured at The Christian Life College and became a member of The Westminster Fellowship, an old established association of ministers under the leadership of renowned Welsh expository preacher, Dr. Martin Lloyd Jones.
Robin was a founder member of the European Religious Broadcasters Association in 1985, serving as Executive Director for eight years. He was Media Director of Crusade for World Revival (at Waverley Abbey House in Surrey) founded by the Rev Selwyn Hughes, author of daily devotional Every Day with Jesus Robin mobilized prayer in the Parliament, which effected a major change in British law. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher then signed a bill reversing the government's control over the air-waves. As a result, in 1990 Robin obtained the first license granted specifically for religious broadcasting in the UK.
In 1996, Robin and Elsa were invited by the American Christian Trust to oversee the work of a Prayer House in Washington DC. The following year they moved to California where Robin took up an appointment as Vice-President of a Christian TV network. He was elected President of the local chapter of the Business Men's Fellowship, in 1999 and for several years acted as Chaplain to the Internet Broadcasting Association, based in Silicon Valley, also serving as pastor of the First Christian Church, in downtown San Francisco.
He returned to his homeland Wales to assist with the 2004 Centenary Celebration for the Welsh Revival and continues the PR work of Seer Media, the company set up 20 yrs ago. Currently he hosts a daily one-hour talk show on The Gospel Channel, uplinked from Iceland, and beamed by satellite (Sky 590) to 50 nations across Europe.
