Dr. Mark Tronson has been privy and simply greatly aware of the multi-faceted ministries of Lay Witnesses for Christ International for almost 30 years. Dr. Tronson has authored countless articles on many individuals and ministries including Lay Witnesses for Christ. He has observed first hand LWFCI's current and future Leadership and sensed Dr. Mings' heartbeat for evangelism. Dr. Tronson has personally observed more of the elite Olympians than any other individual outside of the Staff.
He closely observed Carl Lewis' interactions with the 750 young people and their parents for 3 hours during the 20th Awards Banquet – And then spent 2 ½ hours one on one - in the Hospitality Suite for Honourees - seated beside the Olympian of the Century (Carl Lewis) – who had earlier concurred with the other Board Members per Dr. Mings recommendation to honour Dr. Mark and Delma Tronson and requested the privilege of presenting the International Award.
The primary criteria for the recognition was the following two reasons: [I] Their then 27 years of a faith walk in God's vineyards; as well as their resolve [II] Their gifting through their publications to encourage God's Servants - by recognising those they've observed not 'simply for a season' but who they've observed persevering through the years – rather than listening to gossip even from quote 'religious circles'. Through the years these dear friends have encouraged and counselled one another - and '2' of Dr. Mark Tronson's 'Words of Wisdom' have greatly impacted Dr. Mings and been adhered to:
[I] Stay focused on 'pleasing God alone'; and then several years ago
[II] Suggested LWFCI Staff only report documented reports of 'what others have written or said regarding 'What the Holy Spirit did in their midst during outreaches!'.
