Tasmania - a new style of Easter pilgrimage - Register Now.
Wondering how you might spend Easter this year?
The Bay of Fires Walk For Spiritual Seekers in Tasmania is holding a Good Friday Easter walk that will allow participants to experience the presence of Jesus without religion along some of the most beautiful isolated beaches on the planet.
How does no phone reception, no shops, no technology sound for a while? Just the presence of God filling your inner being with the holy spirit along empty bleached white sand beaches, crystal clear aqua water and orange granite rock outcrops?..
There will be the choice of a one day 14km walk or a two day 20km (overnight camping) walk.
Bay of Fires Walk For Spiritual Seekers Founder Tim Crawshaw says:
"Our walks are normally quite intimate with small groups, but this walk is a bit different in a number of ways. We are expecting a larger group of people for this Easter walk who want to walk collectively with Jesus for Australia in solidarity and experience Gods presence in a deep and unique way individually and as a group.
We are leaving all religion and denominational difference behind to focus intently on Jesus and what the holy spirit wants to do which could be anything. This could be spiritual outpourings of love, physical and emotional healing, breaking off addictions, tangible and supernatural manifestations of God's presence just like in the book of Acts in the Bible or something else completely different - who knows!
We are also encouraging people who don't know Jesus to come along with an open mind to allow God to reveal himself to them".
Both Tim and his wife Deb who is also a walk guide are really concerned about the Australian public's perception of Christianity from the outside which is often based on man made religious practices of institutional churches instead of Jesus himself. "Jesus we believe is often misrepresented through the lens of religion instead of authentic spiritual relationship with him and manifestations of his supernatural power".
Tim says "We want people to know all the benefits that a relationship with Jesus offers which is primarily love and freedom and unfortunately the Australian public is not seeing this. Instead they are seeing religious services dictating rules and regulations contrary to what Jesus is actually all about. They also just see a group of people against homosexuality. If they only knew in the big picture of Christianity that the homosexuality issue means almost nothing in comparison to the supernatural act of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, resurrection and what that means for those who believe".
The walk is being offered on a free/donation basis.
Tim says that this Easter walk follows the same route that other operators charge in excess of $2000 per person so this is also a great opportunity to see a part of Australia without financial expense except for getting there.
Registration ASAP for the walk is essential to help with operational arrangements.
