M V Tronson said that this program is starting on the ground floor, and the only way is up. He believes it is "a first" in the Christian world, for:
o a daily sports news column in an on-line Christian news publication
o the utilisation of a regular team of sports writers
o the development of an annual 'mini-conference' dedicated to sports writers.
He, himself, kicked off the daily sports reports in February, with a hugely successful first article featuring Margaret Court – a former grand slam tennis women's ace and now Christian minister - presenting the Australian Women's Open trophy after the new arena was opened: 'Margaret Court Arena'.
Within a fortnight he had recruited his son, Wesley Tronson, writing on Wednesdays as a specialist writer on soccer, as Wesley had been a member of Manchester Juniors when he was living in England in recent years. It was the only English soccer team to have won any European Tournament (in Prague) in that calendar year. He is now continuing his banking career back here in Australia after seven years' away.
The daily sports news continued to establish itself and M V Tronson sought the Lord's wisdom and developed a team of volunteer 'young people' sports writers. Three additional sports news writers came on board by the end of March.
