Catch the Fire Ministries President, Pastor Daniel Nalliah who will also be conferred with an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from Saint Thomas Christian College in Jacksonville, Florida USA for his work to secure freedom of speech in Australia and his ongoing stand for Christian values, said he had been alerted to the atheists protests by the venue planners, but would not allow the atheists to hijack the prayers or detract from the purpose of praying for Australia.
The special guest speaker Reverend Dr Zamekio Jackson who oversees the U.S. Christian College, as well as more than 300 churches across the U.S., and who has personally witnessed many supernatural miracles following prayer, will be travelling with his prayer team from America to deliver a special message to Australians.
"We're expecting extraordinary things in the Spirit of God to happen on Australia Day. The City of Greater Dandenong Council who operates the Springvale Town Hall have informed us that atheists have been in contact with them to notify them of proposed protests, but also to let us know that they will call the police if the protests get out of hand. We Christians will not be distracted by the atheists. We're there to pray for the nation of Australia and if the atheists' intention is to hijack the event, it's not going to happen. We love the atheists because Jesus, who is our prime example, loves the atheists. They and anyone for that matter is most welcome to enter the town hall and hear about God's supernatural miracles around the world in answer to the prayers of His people," Pastor Nalliah said.
"This national prayer day for Australia is a major opportunity for reconciliation and unity amongst Christians from different ethnicities, churches, and denominations, including Anglicans, Catholics, Presbyterians, other Protestants, Pentecostals, Charismatics, Evangelicals, and the Salvation Army to come together to corporately pray for our nation's Government, Armed Forces, Emergency Services, Australia's Physical and Spiritual Healing. On top of the prayer agenda there will be a great focus regarding the bushfire season, that there will be much rain and the impact of the bushfires will be minimum.
"Please bring Australian flags with you as it is Australia Day. As Australians we also want to remember the people impacted by the devastating Haiti earthquake and encourage all to support Haitians as they can." "The Bible verse 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 is what we're standing on, asking the Most High God to honour His Word to come and heal our land both physically and spiritually," Pastor Nalliah said.
