[PIC1] Andrew will take a break from pre-season training this week and head to India, where he will work alongside international aid organization Compassion, helping the underprivileged and disadvantaged in developing areas of Calcutta.
The visit cements the relationship between the Jesus Racing Team and Compassion.
Compassion is an international ministry, which works in partnership with local churches to foster the development of children who live in poverty in 25 of the world's developing nations.
Andrew races the Jesus. All about life V8 Ute in the national Yokohama Ute Series, as well as the Jesus V8 Supercar in the Fujitsu Supercar series.
Andrew has been a supporter of Compassion for many years and is excited to have come together with the charity organization.
Andrew says the Jesus Racing Team will now promote the Compassion organization at the hundreds of school and events they attend each year.
"Compassion fits perfectly with the Jesus Racing Team," he says. "We promote Jesus the person while Compassion expresses his practical side, working to meet the needs of the poor and disadvantaged," says Andrew.
"We speak with more than 50 thousand school students and tens of thousands of men and women every year, not to mention the million spectators and the TV audience of 30 million, as well as the motor racing community. It will be great to be an advocate of the amazing work Compassion does for the underprivileged.
"I believe we are truly blessed to live in this country so it will be a great, yet challenging experience to visit one of the poorest regions of the world and to see first-hand the amazing work carried out by Compassion."
