"It was after prayer and counsel that we gave our International Chairman, Mr. John Robertson, JD, the go-ahead to develop a slogan," Mings explained.
But a logo was also needed, so graphic artist Eric Garcia took John Robertson's ideas, and included input from USA National Chairman, Dr. Joy E. Macci, then submitted preliminary designs to Dr. & Mrs. Mings and to the ministry's board of directors for approval.
"The end result has a reflective and haunting backdrop, the imagery is remarkably insightful," Mings noted.
Utilising the London Bridge as a backdrop, the focus is clear, that mankind's 'Only Hope' to 'Bridge the Gap' is through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
"Our team members representing churches and ministries from throughout the world will gather in one accord in this Olympic host city in 2012 [July 27 - August 12] under the umbrella of 'Bridging the Gap 2012 London~England'.
"They will declare to the world, the Power Source for the World's Olympians is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!" Dr Sam Mings exclaimed.
As in past Olympics, the media will be hungry to report stories back to their respective nations that the great Olympians are about something far 'more than Gold'!
Dr Sam Mings stated, "This Power Source is available 'not just to the Olympians, but to whosoever will".
He concluded: "We have heard it said that the slogan - 'BRIDGING THE GAP 2012 LONDON~ENGLAND' is 'Right On!'"
