Bob Buford wrote the book 'Half Time' in 1994. The book was wildly successful, and Bob then formed 'Half Time' as a nonprofit organisation, to provide a means of helping business leaders navigate the transition from success to significance. Half Time is now being launched in Australia by John Sikkema, with a similar objective of helping business leaders to release more of their time, talent and treasure for God's purposes. John previously built very successful Financial Planning and Funds Management businesses in Australia, with 80 offices and over $3 billion in funds under management.
Lloyd Reeb, the primary spokesperson for Half Time USA, will be visiting Australia and speaking at these launch functions in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Gold Coast and Toowoomba, from 27 July to 6 August.
According to Gary Williams, CMA National Director, 'There is no shortage of products and services being pitched to the Christian business person, but Half Time is in a whole different league. The book is based on substance, not hype, and CMA is excited that a ministry with a valuable message, and a credible history, is now taking shape here. For Christians in the business world, Half Time is a book, and a ministry, worthy of serious attention."
