The JESUS Film ministry is asking Christians to pray for their work, as 'Operation Jericho' is being conducted in French-speaking African countries to bring people to Christ.
'Operation Jericho' is a combination of evangelism, discipleship and training; which is aimed at 17 Francophone countries located in Africa. Last year's operation saw 35 new equipment sets and approximately 30 of the "JESUS" film being shown.
At one of the evening showings last year in Benin, 600 out of the thousands of viewers responded to the invitation to trust Christ.
Overall last year - within six days - more than 80,000 people heard the Gospel, and approximately 9,000 chose to receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour; reported the Christian film ministry.
Operation Jericho is continuing this year, with numerous conferences being held in 65 cities of the 17 Francophone nations that will end in December 2007.
The ministry is asking Christians to pray for favour with customs officials there so that hundreds of the set of equipment and "JESUS" film print, to be used for Operation Jericho, can be cleared.
In addition, they are also asking everyone to pray for an outpouring of God's spirit so that many will come to Christ and Christians there will be transformed.
