On May 15, Melinda Tankard Reist, well known social commentator, will be our guest at Hurstville Civic Theatre. She will be addressing this very issue of the increasing sexualisation of girls in our Western popular culture. This event is co-sponsored by Penshurst Anglican Church and CNEC Partners International.
Melinda will speak on the need for us all to work together to create a more healthy environment in which to grow our girls. We recommend a minimum age of +15.
There will be the opportunity to buy signed copies of Melinda's latest book, "Getting Real: Challenging the Sexualisation of Girls" and to support spiritual and medical care for women and girls made fistula through rape being used as a weapon of war in DR Congo.
