Blue Easel is a creative aspect of Compassion that allows artists to be advocates for children. It brings like-minded people together to make a powerful stand against poverty! This exhibition provides a platform for creative people to use their talents to illustrate the emotions, struggles and joys of children who are unable to speak out themselves.
2010 Theme -The Art of Survival
Celebrate the life of children and the global push to reduce infant mortality and help children reach their fifth birthday.
The number of children struggling to make it past their fifth birthday is nothing short of staggering, but we live in an exciting time. Experts say we could be the first generation capable of seeing poverty eradicatedâ€"forever!
For example, in 2009 the number of children who died before their fifth birthday dropped under 10 million per year for the first time on record. It now stands at 8.8 million. So would you join us as we celebrate the little children across the world who are fighting to survive? Let's celebrate the great achievements that have been made and together strive for a future where these tragic and unnecessary deaths no longer exist.
You are invited to create a piece of artwork that represents the hope, joy and life of these little children.
All mediums and styles are accepted, including photography! Entries must be originals!
