The Australian Missionary News IPTV is part of the media ministry of Well-Being Australia which also houses Press Service International (which provides an Australian Christian news article on each weekday), both of which are supported by Sydney philanthropist Mr Basil Sellers AM.
The Basil Sellers Australian Missionary News IPTV was initiated after Mark Tronson was interviewed by Dan Wooding in Los Angeles on SafeWorlds IPTV 'Business Missionary News Service' last February. Subsequently, Tronson was invited to establish an Australian Missionary News channel.
Moreover, like Dan Wooding in Los Angeles, Mark Tronson has established a parallel sister web site with the same video material. In this, he has been helped by his friend Peter Scotland, a former engineer on a major TV channel.
SafeWorlds IPTV is an internet television platform in which there are innumerable channels based in a plethora of countries. This is all very new. To find what interests you, it is easy to follow a logical 'catalogue'. For example, the Australian 'Faith Hope & Glory' IPTV houses the Australian Missionary News channel. The Australian 'Community IPTV' houses the Gold Coast channel.
Already the Australian Missionary News IPTV on both sites, the SafeWorlds IPTV and the web based site, has seen great responses.
To date on the sites, there are 23 South Pacific Christian leaders' testimonies and numerous interviews by Mark Tronson with people from the professions, sports, the media and Missions.
Committed Christians Darren Scheuner (a Burleigh Heads chiropractor) and Rod Milne (a Griffith University lecturer) are two of the key people behind this Gold Coast channel. Their promotional and introduction videos are already running, using radio journalist Brian Keith as their front man.
Darren Scheuner said last week that there are two components to this community-based channel: the first is that of community news; and the second is that of a market place for businesses.
He elaborated further, saying that this Gold Coast IPTV platform has such bright prospects that he expects to see a young journalist such as Kate Dorrington develop its web base Gold Coast news along with the visual television component.
Kate Dorrington has been assisting the Gold Coast channel. Mark Tronson and his wife Delma (who live in Tweed Heads) met Kate at some of the meetings held to discuss the SafeWorlds Gold Coast IPTV channel.
In turn Kate has become a willing helper to Well-Being Australia's media ministry in journalising (tabloiding) one of Mark Tronson's five articles each week.
SafeWorlds believes that this is the future of community news and business, and Well-Being Australia has already been blessed with the help of Kate Dorrington. The Australian Missionary News IPTV is breaking new ground.
