Two of the three daily articles are based on reflections by Well-Being Australia, another is a first person article by Mark Tronson the Well-Being Australia chairman and the third, is a Sports article by a team of five young sports writers.
To this end Mark and Delma Tronson are regular attenders at the Australasian Religious Press Association (ARPA) annual conference and this year, it kicks off tomorrow (Friday 3 September) in Hobart.
He explained that this annual ARPA conference is one of the few conferences he's been involved in over his 33 years in Christian ministry where the emphasis is on 'practical outcomes'.
* Two years ago, the ARPA conference was held in Brisbane where they developed the extension of their video ministry which now includes the Australian Missionary News IPTV.
* Last year in Sydney they changed the name of their weekly Sunday email network distribution to the 'E-Blast' which came directly out of an idea from the ARPA conference.
This 2010 ARPA conference in Hobart has some very practical sessions such as:
• The future of on-line media
• Managing a media crisis
• 21st century in communications
• Legal issues relating to religious publications
• Writing for 'pagans'
• How to's - making readers 'think'
The key note speaker for the Saturday night Conference dinner is the Reverend Professor Michael Tate, a former Federal Senator for Tasmania.
