In their new mission, the Tronson's retained two specific ministry areas of the Sports and Leisure Ministry: the athletes' respite ministry at the Basil Sellers Moruya facility on the New South Wales south coast; and the Australian cricket ministry.
This past decade has seen Well-Being Australia develop into several quite specific ministries.
Athlete / Coach Respite
Five years after Well-Being Australia was initiated at Moruya, the respite ministry was duplicated on the north coast of New South Wales to Tweed Heads. Mark and Delma Tronson relocated from Moruya in December 2005, and Kim and Michelle Gillis took over in Moruya.
The 'Basil Sellers Tweed' (Surfing Australia's High Performance Centre's Domain Resort on the beach at Casaurina) provides respite facilities for the six Australian Institute of Sport units based in south east Queensland. In 2007, the facility expanded to include the cricket fraternity.
Australian Cricket Ministry
In 2001, after discussions with both the Australian Cricketers Association and the Australian Cricket Board, Mark Tronson moved sideways from the chaplaincy of the Australian Cricket team to provide a ministry called 'Life After Cricket'
Coinciding with this initiative, on 30 November 2000, was the release of the initial 'Retired Australian Cricketers Bi-Annual Newsletter' (published 30 March and 30 November each year since). Its editorial team continues to be Allan Border (Qld), Greg Chappell (SA), David Boon (TAS), Kim Hughes (WA), Phil Emery (NSW), Jasson Baker and Shaun Graf (VIC).
In 2007 the Cricket Ministry developed 'Cricket Family Respite' by inviting the cricket fraternity to make use of the Basil Sellers Tweed facility.
Art Ministry
As Mark Tronson required respite himself after 18 years of national leadership of the Sports and Leisure Ministry, he took to art as a form of personal respite and this eventually developed into an art ministry. Mr Basil Sellers supported the construction in Moruya of the Basil Sellers Art Centre in 2003 and a year later the launch of the Basil Sellers $10,000 Art Prize, a bi-annual event now co-ordinated by the Eurobodalla Shire.
The Art Ministry developed a number of community programs which included art classes for young people, a monthly cheese and wine evening for the local arts community and an exhibition program for local artists.
When Mark and Delma Tronson relocated to the Tweed in 2006, the Basil Sellers Tweed Fine Arts Studio was opened in 2007. The Gold Coast Visitors Guide sponsored the Art Ministry with a half page advertisement, and Mark's art became part of his ministry utilising his philosophical art. In addition he started to exhibit through local restaurants and resorts.
He paints under his ancestral name of Tronson du Coudray – the missionary painter.
Press Service International (PSI)
As another part of Mark Tronson's own respite program he began to write and developed PSI. Part of this development was that he scoured the Internet for Christian Media emails, and contacted many other press sources to start a world-wide database.
He's been writing five Australian Christian news articles world wide, each Wednesday, under the PSI banner as well as a with a daily media article to Australian Christian media. In January 2010 a fresh paradigm was initiated with Christian Today Australia (CTA) whereby other media are now invited to reprint Mark's published articles in CTA.
Mark Tronson has a three-person editorial team that assists in this ministry program. This ensures that the theological content is correct, that the article reads 'well' in a common-sense way for a lay audience, and that suitable articles are re-written in a journalistic style for the Christian 'tabloid' press.
Australian Missionary News IPTV
This is a new ministry initiated in 2009 which houses short television interviews (IPTV – Internet Protocol Television) on two websites. Both Mark and Delma have conducted the interviews to date, but now others are coming onto the scene to assist in this project. Mr Basil Sellers refers to Mark as the Internet Missionary. One site is on the normal world wide web tv.bushorchestra.com/ and another on SafeWorlds IPTV www.safeworlds.net
Mission Programs
âˆ' Country Town Tours (CTT) - taking athletes and coaches to rural and regional Australia as role models.
âˆ' Around the Tables (ATT) - mission personnel meetings and gatherings.
âˆ' Tourism Ministry - research and development for tourism receiving locations.
âˆ' Community: Delma is very busy in this area in Craft, KYB, Auslan and Pastoral Care while Mark is involved with the Chambers of Commerce in the Tweed.
Footplate Padre
Mark Tronson became the Footplate Padre wring a monthly article three years ago for the On Track E-Railway magazine. As a former locomotive driver on the NSWGR and author of 16 books on railways, he is ideally suited to this ministry to railway people and their families. This ministry has expanded exponentially as its gathered it own momentum.
Volunteers
There are numerous volunteers across Australia who assist us in this Mission, and some have developed their own interests. Vic Matthews and Matt Boyes in Moruya assist with the AIS athlete visits, Steve Suba in Tasmania assists with international liaison, we have five praying ladies who pray daily for Mark and Delma, their family and ministry.
The people who give financially so graciously and lovingly are also a vital part of this volunteer team, along with those who Mark Tronson seeks regular wisdom and insight.
These past ten years, this decade establishing Well-Being Australia has been inspiring as to how the Lord has overseen these developing ministries to His Glory. At the inaugural Around the Tables (ATT) in 2002, WBA received its mantra from visiting speaker the Reverend Harry Munro, "Don't touch the Glory, it belongs exclusively to Him".
