Bolton scored to bring the game back to within 1 goal however couldn't equalize to leave Bolton desperately searching for points.
Other matches at the foot of the table saw Norwich climb into the top half with a surprise 4-2 win at home to Newcastle. QPR put up a good fight away at Liverpool only to end up on the wrong end of a 1-0 score line. Sunderland stole the points with 2 late strikes to defeat Blackburn 2-1 at the Stadium of Light whilst Stoke City halted Spurs great run winning 2-1 at home. Swansea took full points with a 2-0 win at home to Fulham.
Manchester United were too strong for Wolves at the top of the table with a 4-1 victory. After their mid week shock exit in the champion's League, only 3 points would do as they destroyed Wolves in front of their big crowd. Arsenal also continued their impressive form with a 1-0 win at home to Everton thanks to a fantastic strike from in form Van Persie.
