
In the Super Sunday fixture, both teams had plenty of chances with Torres missing a nearly open goal and Rooney missing from the spot. United were still too strong though as Nani scored a fantastic strike and Rooney scored his 9th goal in 5 games.
Manchester City struggled away at Fulham. The cottages are always strong at home and kept that up as they held City to a 2-2 draw. City are still expected to challenge however this draw now takes away from their 100% record and gives United complete control at the top of the table.
Arsenal started well away at Blackburn however twice surrendered the lead to loose 4-3. Blackburn played well and deserved their win as Arsenal slumped to another defeat. This lose puts the gunners in the bottom half of the league and raises serious questions to Wengers reign at the nations capital.
In other fixtures this weekend, Aston Villa and Newcastle shared the points with an entertaining 1-1 draw at Villa Park.
Everton defeated Wigan 3-1 at home whilst Sunderland beat a disappointing Stoke City 4-0.
QPR won 3-0 away at Wolves and Norwich defeated Bolton away 2-1.
Swansea also made sure all 3 promoted Premier league teams won as they destroyed West Brom 3-0 at home whilst Spurs were awesome with a 4-0 win at home to Liverpool.
