United slip gives City chance!

Manchester United have slipped up in the race for the title with a 1-0 defeat at Wigan in midweek. The result has given City the slight chance to catch United as they are 5 points behind United however still have to play each other and City have a superior goal difference. United must now not slip up as even a draw could be the tonic for a disaster as they have been favourites for weeks. Untied also won on Sunday with a 4-0 win at home to Aston Villa.

Manchester City also played midweek and won comfortably 4-0 over West Brom. This then lead City to play Norwich away with Tevez scoring a hat trick in a 6-1 demolish in of Norwich. City are now living in hope that United can slip up somewhere along the way and they can defeat them later in April to claim their first ever Premiership title.

Other midweek fixtures saw Arsenal win 3-0 away at nearly relegated Wolves, while QPR kept their hopes of survival high, with a 3-0 win over Swansea at home. Liverpool also kept their faint hopes of Europe afloat with a 3-2 win at Blackburn Rovers.

Saturday's remaining fixtures were relegation thrillers with QPR missing the chance to go free of the drop zone, loosing 1-0 away at West Brom. Blackburn were also disappointing as they lost 3-0 away at Swansea City. Sunderland and Wolves played out a lack lustre goalless draw which now sees Wolves all but relegated.
