Aston Villa won 3-1 away at Bristol Rovers, Everton defeated lowly Tamworth 2-0 at home whilst Fulham disposed of Charlton 4-0 in a London derby. Newcastle defeated Blackburn 2-1 in an all premiership affair and Wigan suffered a giant killing, loosing 2-1 away at Swindon.
The 4th round brings Manchester United and Liverpool together. Manchester United will have to do it the tough way if they are to go all the way after an extremely tough early draw to their campaign.
