
Manchester City were again impressive, this week smashing Blackburn away 4-0. Johnson opened the scoring with a fantastic strike before the flood gates opened, as City bolstered their goal difference with a thumping win. City are in great form before the international break and will look ahead to the derby in the coming weeks.
Arsenal travelled to local rivals Spurs needing a win, however were undone buy a powerful Spurs side. Spurs won 2-1 and condemned the gunners close to the relegation zone needing points urgently.
Chelsea scored 5 goals away at Bolton with Lampard scoring a hat trick. The win ensures Chelsea stay with the teams from Manchester as they look to power on after the international break.
In other fixtures this weekend, Fulham gave QPR a touch up with a 6-0 hammering. Swansea defeated Stoke 2-0 whilst Newcastle stayed in the top 4 with a 2-1 win away at Wolves. Aston Villa beat Wigan 2-0 and Sunderland and West Brom played out a very entertaining 2-2 draw. In the Merseyside derby, Liverpool were too strong for Everton, coming out 2-0 winners with Carroll scoring his first gaol in a derby.
