The Easter weekends fixtures started on Friday night as Newcastle kept their hopes of Europe up with an impressive 2-0 away win at Swansea. Newcastle's sisse scored 2 great goals as Newcastle are now level on points with Spurs in 5th position. Saturday saw Sunderland and Spurs play a goalless draw while Fulham smashed Bolton 3-0 in North Manchester. Villa and Liverpool ended 1-1 while West Brom gave Blackburn a lesson with a 3-0 master class at home. Stoke defeated Wolves 2-1 and Norwich and Everton finished 2-2 at Goodison.
Easter Monday saw most teams in action again as the relegation battle heats up. Villa and Stoke played an entertaining 1-1 draw while Newcastle kept up the fight for European football with a 2-0 win at home to Bolton. Fulham and Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw. Everton gave out a 4-0 hiding to Sunderland and Norwich defeated Spurs 2-1.
