Ubisoft, the developers of 'Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege' has released new updates and features of the game on August 2, known as the 'Skull Rain' update.
The first-person shooter game updates include a new Favela, known as a slum map, which is said to be the most destructible environment to date, according to Ubisoft. Also introduced were two fresh BOPE operators: Caveira and Capitão.
The first, 'Caveira' is a brutal interrogator, who uses her secretiveness technique, 'the Silent Step', to sneak up on her enemies without being detected. However, the second, 'Capitão' is armed with a strategic crossbow which can fire deadly asphyxiating bolts and micro-grenades bombs that give quick and unexpected hits on targets.
The "Operation Skull Rain" update will be available from August 2, 2016, while the Favela map will be available for all players. WSeason Pass holders can directly get the new BOPE operators. Other players without the Season Pass can open the operators with Renown or R6 credits from August 9, 2016.
The game is inspired by counter-terrorist activities across the globe and Siege puts a strong emphasis on environmental destruction and co-operation between gamers. Unlike earlier stages, the game features no single-player campaign and suggests an online mode, however, it does allow players to play offline in single-player demos called Situations.
The game was initially released across the world on December 1, 2015.
