Liverpool hammered 6 goals as they destroyed Brighton 6-1 at home. Other fixtures saw a welcome distraction from League Woes for Bolton as they advanced 2-0 to the hands of Championship Millwall. Birmingham earned a replay at home after a tough 1-1 draw away at Chelsea while Everton cruised to the final 8 with a 2-0 home win over Blackpool.
Spurs struggled away at Stevenage as both teams played out a scoreless draw. Stevenage are hoping the fixture congestion will be too much for Spurs as they travel to White Hart Lane in the return fixture. Stoke were also too classy for lowely Crawley.
