
Chelsea saw their poor home form change in fortunes as they beat in form Arsenal in the London derby. Chelsea were 2-0 up at the break however the newly signed contract of Walcott must have helped as Arsenal came back in the 2nd half and scored to set up a tense end to the match however they couldn't find the equalizer as Chelsea cemented their spot in the top 4 and eased pressure on Benitez.
Manchester City scored a rather easy 2-0 win at home to Fulham, although it should have been many more if it wasn't for some poor finishing. Silva scored his first for the season, scoring a brace for City as they maintained 2nd position comfortably and are catching United.
In Saturdays other fixtures, Aston Villa were held to a 2-2 draw at Albion whilst Liverpool smashed 5 past a hapless Norwich in the cold. Reading won a 6 pointer away in Newcastle and Swansea beat Stoke City 3-1 in Wales. Sunderland had a dramatic 3-2 win away at struggling Wigan while West Ham and QPR played out a 1-1 draw.
On Monday night, Southampton and Everton played out a 0-0 draw in the Southwest of the country.
