Remedy Entertainment's sci-fi action-adventure third-person shooting game, Quantum Break, will carry on to receive support and updates on Windows 10, even after the game is set to release on the Steam.
The game developer 'Remedy Entertainment' and its publisher 'Microsoft Studios' are introducing the time-warping shooter game to Steam, resulting in all sorts of speculation about soured business relations, sales expectations and more.
Previously, Remedy's official Thomas Puha had posted on Twitter that it was "doubtful" that the company would roll out any more patches for Windows 10, however, has since made it clear that Windows 10 Store variant will also be updated to ensure equality with the Steam version.
Later, Puha expressed regret for the misunderstanding created by his previous tweet, while saying that patches for Quantum Break on Steam will also come with the Windows 10 version.
Puha had earlier tweeted that the game will not receive any further patch or update on Window 10.
Tech giant Microsoft has ensured an easy ride for game developers to keep the games updated all across the different platforms with the help of Universal Windows Platform, allowing them to use Win32 programs for Windows Store applications. Thus, Remedy can plainly make the games as typical and then re-package them by using Microsoft's tools similar to that of a Windows Store app with nominal changes.
The rumors were making rounds that Puha comments came because of the low sales on Window store.
