Players fighting for their rights, owners fighting for their right to make money. Commentators' whinging about and changing their mind on whether they support the players or the owners every day.
Mean while the fans sit and wait, perhaps they even dream about the lockouts ending. Perhaps they will get a refund on their pre-purchased (very expensive) season tickets.
The longer the players and owners let this run the more the history of the sports is devalued. A history spanning decades of hard work from brilliant athletes and owners alike.
The NBA should not forget the pain caused by the last lockout and how long it took to recover.
