The action role-playing game, Mount & Blade: Warband, is all set to be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 16. The game was initially launched in January 2009 for PC, while for Mac OS X and Linux, it was rolled out in July 2014.
Presently, a press release has triggered buzz that the game will soon roll out; however, a user on Reddit said that the game's developer TaleWorlds Entertainment will be officially making an announcement about the release, providing more information.
In the meantime, have a look at some key information courtesy of a Mount & Blade subreddit mod:
1. The port will feature somewhat up-scaled resources besides some post-processing effects
2. The game would not support any modding
3. In the upcoming release, there will be no Napoleonic Wars or Viking Conquest
4. The cost price will remain with the PC version, excluding sales
5. The multiplayer mode is limited to 32-players
Mount & Blade sets a focus on the horse-mounted battle and giving orders to one's warband in the battlefield like directing archers to hold a post or infantry to make use of blunt arms.
The game is a unique combination of powerful tactical fighting, army command and strong kingdom management.
