Square Enix's action role-playing game, Final Fantasy VII Remake, is not available for pre-order at $59.99 on Amazon, and $109.95 on EBGames, with a release date of the game shown as December 30, 2016.
Though the game's release is obviously a date to look forward to, there are actually some exciting things to know about the game's pre-order listings:
The most important of which is the listing at EBGames, which is offering the Final Fantasy VII Remake for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. So far, Square Enix has not mentioned whether Sony's PlayStation 4 will enjoy exclusivity of the game.
Final Fantasy creator and director, Tetsuya Nomura recently expressed hopes that the remake of Final Fantasy 7 will boost the sales of the PS4 console.
"If we announced the remake after the sale of all those titles, it would not have created such an impact, so that's why we decided on this timing," adding that he wanted to reassure players that the console is coming out with great titles including Final Fantasy 7.
"For this reason, we decided to announce the Final Fantasy 7 remake."
It is not just PlayStation 4 sales that will see a boost, but the game's developing company, Square Enix, whose stocks have risen its highest since 2008 following Nomura's announcement.
