Pies
Collingwood's gamble with their mid-season training camp in the US seems to have freshened up their players. And with Geelong's loses in the past few games this has pushed the Pies to top spot in the ladder. They have only lost one game all season and the tippers suggest this game will not add to that list.
If history is a guide, last time the two teams went to battle in Round three it was Collingwood that easily dismissed Carlton (Collingwood 15.12.102 d Carlton 11.8.74). But the overall record sees Carlton (123 games) up over Collingwood (115 games).
Blues
Carlton have only lost four games this season. But two of those games have been in the last few matches dropping games to West Coast Eagles and the Western Bulldogs. Will this fire up the Blues and give them the jolt they really need this week? One of the best win's Carlton had was against Sydney in Round 13. The following game was one their losses to the Eagles. The same pattern happened after their huge win against Richmond. They then lost to the Bulldogs. The point? Be ready for a determined and resurgent Blues outfit after their recent lose.
The game at the MCG is a sell-out and the massive supporter base of each club will make this a clash worth watching. Despite the predictions the best way to see what will happen is to tune-in Saturday 2.10pm.
