City win biggest game In history!

Manchester United have been pushed off their perch as they travelled to City for a potential title winning match. United started the match 3 points better off however with a much worse goal difference so it was up to City to make the running as they needed all 3 points. In front of a hostile crowd and with over 200 countries who were able to view the match live, City started strongest and held the momentum for most of the match, creating a few good chances, then just before half time, City's Captain Company rose above the United defence to head home possibly City's most important goal of the season. The match was heated and after the game Ferguson admitted City deserved the win but with 2 matches to go, the race is still open as City face a tricky visit to Newcastle next weekend.

In the chase for the Champions league, Chelsea kept their chances alive with a thumping 6-1 win over rivals QPR. Torres scored his first Chelsea Hat Trick while QPR now find themselves in real trouble with just 2 matches remaining. Newcastle fell to Wigan with a surprising 4-0 away defeat. The lose puts Newcastle in a touch position with 2 games left while Wigan are now looking like they will again avoid relegation. Arsenal also slipped up with a 1-1 draw away at Stoke while Spurs stayed in touch with a 2-0 win over Blackburn to all but seal Rovers fate to the Championship next season.

Relegation haunted Aston Villa had another draw this time away at West Brom. The result may help Villa who are 3 points clear but with a better goal difference with 2 matches remaining. Bolton are also in trouble however hold the better run in and still have 3 games remaining. Bolton had a tough 2-2 draw away at Sunderland.

Other fixtures on the weekend saw Liverpool thrash Norwich 3-0 away at Norwich while Swansea and Wolves played out an extraordinary 4-4 draw in Wales. Everton also proved to strong for Fulham, winning 4-0 in the North West.
