
Manchester United remained just 2 points behind City after the weekend action with a stunning 3-1 win away to Spurs at White Hart Lane. Spurs dominated for long periods of the match however were undone as United stay within striking distance of City.
City meanwhile had a fairly comfortable 2-0 win at home to hapless Bolton. City however have a much tougher run in with some tricky fixtures left and they also host United nearer the end of the season. City remains confident though and also has Tevez to bring back after a long spell away from the club.
In other weekend fixtures Newcastle and Sunderland played out a 1-1 draw in the northeast derby whilst Blackburn scored late to salvage a point at home to Villa. Arsenals Van Persie was again unstoppable as he scored late to defeat Liverpool 2-1 away at Anfield. Fulham smashed 5 past a poor Wolves and Swansea scored 2 at home to defeat a very poor Wigan. Everton and QPR shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw at Loftus road and Stoke were too strong for Norwich with a 1-0 home win.
