Over the course of the morning Nintendo fans have been talking about the brand new trailer for the latest Zelda installment: 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", which made its debut at the E3 2016 expo.
The world got its first look into the immense, living and breathing world of the Wii U version of the game, which promised challenges and surprises for players at every turn, while giving them incredible freedom to explore the world.
A new exciting feature will allow players to drop multiple beacons on maps to use as waypoints, enabling them to mark zones containing enemies, or a treasure chest.
Compared to its predecessors, 'Breath of the Wild' will be governed more by stats, where players need to constantly collect armor and weapons, which will be breakable, to increase their stats. Players will also be able to cook many types of food and discover new recipes.
Eiji Aonuma, producer of the Nintendo series told GameSpot: "The user might not actually get the full story depending on how they play this game and how they strategize and solve puzzles, Anybody can go straight to the goal without doing anything else - there's two possibilities."
He added, "Either they're [a] really good gamer, or they could be somebody that's a little bit crazy. But it's not impossible. I created the game like that. Maybe it might be fun for fans to compete in a challenge for who can clear it first."
Rumors surrounding the game's release suggested a female hero would be an option in the upcoming installment. However, it was soon confirmed by GameSpot that though Aonuma and his production team considered the idea, it was ultimately rejected.
"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be released in 2017 for the Wii U and Nintendo's new NX.
