
He told the interviewer, "Are you curious about cutting off your finger? Do you want to know what that feels like?
"To me, taking drugs is the same type of thing. In the end, all that happens is you get hurt by it."
The young musician, who began his path to stardom by singing Christian songs on YouTube, said that he does not believe in abortion.
He shared, "I really don't believe in abortion. It's like killing a baby."
When asked about abortion in the case of rape, Bieber said, "Well, I think that's really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven't been in that position, so I wouldn't be able to judge that."
On the issue of sex, Bieber did not talk specifically about whether he believed in abstinence until marriage, but simply said, "I don't think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them… I think you should just wait for the person you're…in love with."
The Canadian star, who was recently nominated for a Grammy Award, has never shied away from his faith. His recent movie, "Never Say Never," was reportedly marketed as a faith and family-friendly movie in the US.
Bieber's manager Scooter Braun had said, "People will walk away (from the movie) knowing faith is very important to him, as a Christian, he's someone to look up to…"
In the "Rolling Stone" interview, the young pop star also revealed his plan to become an American citizen, although he admitted to liking some of the perks of his home country.
"We go to the doctor and we don't need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you're broke because of medical bills," he said. "My bodyguard's baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby's premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home."
In 2010, he sold 3.7 million albums in the United States alone, and he currently holds the No 1 spot for the most watched YouTube video with more than 458 million hits. Bieber is reportedly worth $50 million.
