The eldest son in a Christian home, Blessed Sola was introduced to Christian teaching and the life of Christian service from childhood, and it soon became apparent that young Blessed had a very special gifting from the Lord.
It was not all plain sailing though, as it wasn't until Blessed Sola was around 14 years old, that he began to seriously consider how he was raised and whether he would follow the Lord Jesus Christ for himself.
"I wanted to experience the love of God in my life for myself, as my life in the church, especially with my father as the senior minister, had shown me numerous others experiencing it," Blessed Sola explained. "But this had never been the case for me, up to my early teenage years.
"However, once I realised Jesus died for me personally, all I wanted to do was to live for Him and be on fire for Him," Blessed Sola told Mark Tronson of the Australian Missionary News IPTV.
Blessed Sola was one of the New Zealand delegates at the recent Baptist World Alliance Living Water Australasian-South Pacific conference held in Cairns where he gave a video testimony for Australian Missionary News IPTV.
This IPTV channel is a courtesy of SafeWorlds IPTV, which provides a Christian channel within their commercial IPTV network. It is run by Well-Being Australia's 'Basil Sellers Press Service International'.
"It dawned on me that I had to make a personal decision to follow Jesus, it had to come from me, and when I came before Jesus Christ and asked him to forgive my sin and I asked Him to become my Lord and personal Saviour, then I experienced this love of God in my inner being," Blessed Sola remembered.
It was then that he focused on his own service to the Lord through the musical talents with which he had been so endowed. He at once joined the congregation's music worship team and later on the multi-media group. While Blessed Sola is on key board, his sister Charity is one of the singers.
Although he is still so young, Blessed's happiest times are when he shares what Jesus has done for him with his mates, and his greatest joy is when they too make their decision to follow Jesus.
"Nothing gives me more pleasure than when I witness one of my friends following the Lord Jesus and see Him becoming their personal Saviour," Blessed Sola affirmed. "I find much joy in the Lord serving in the music and multi-media ministry teams in the congregation."
