I witness its many changing moods, from deep purple during a sunset to bright blue in a cloudless sky, and sometimes during winter it is has a covering of snow. At different times I have been fortunate enough to see a rainbow that has encircled the entire mountain. I am thankful that I live in such a beautiful state of Australia.
The mountain is a constant reminder to me of the majesty and power of God, whose love is everlasting, and guiding me through the journey of life, on my Christian walk of faith and trust in him.
He has proven to me on numerous occasions that He is the mountain moving God.
He is the God of the valleys and God of the mountains too. He is the God of my trials and temptation, and as Mt Roland stands firm and strong, I too can continue to stand firm and strong in my faith in the Lord Jesus, holding on through the valleys, through the rough trails and the storms of life, learning to trust more in Him.
Just like a child learning to walk, falling down many times until I accomplish walking with ease, so too it has been like that in my faith walk with God, learning to trust him on whatever road He has me travelling.
For many and various reasons some of us find it difficult to trust, depending on our life experience. However, as I have been learning to trust God and continue to walk with Him in faith, I am discovering that he is indeed faithful and true to His word.
He is a God who can be trusted and He is committed to bringing me through.
So whether I am up on the mountain top in my faith walk with Him or deep in the valley, He is the one who continues to meet my every need, in my joys, my sorrow, and my pain. For His love never fails me. It is higher than the heavens, and His faithfulness reaches to the skies.
As I reflect on this Easter period, knowing of the deep love of sacrifice that Jesus made for me as He died upon the cross for my eternal salvation and freedom. I am truly thankful and can rejoice in my valley experiences. For it is there in the beauty of brokenness that I learn to be more like Him.
Through the majesty and holiness of His unshakable love, that stands firm and strong. God will forever demonstrate that He is Sovereign over all my experience.
