Santa Never Sleeps
It has reached that time of year when shops are putting out their Christmas decorations and selling festive treats like chocolate coins and candy canes. For some it has been that time of year since the beginning of September. .

Like a gardener
I was having coffee with my friend James, when he asked if I had ever been employed by a church, and whether or not I enjoyed it. It's a complicated question, but it made me think of a documentary I'd seen called 'My God'. It was an interview with a Catholic nun, so long in His service she had retired, some sixty years of life following her vows.

Sporting glory a tool for United Nations in "Diplomatic Progress"
Sport, the unsung hero of world peace, has shone very brightly in 2012. We live in a world that a time can be cynical, a world that carries the burden of pain from past generations.

To plan for God and for God to plan in our lives
I have always been a meticulous and extremely organised planner. My life consists of endless post-its of things to do, I obsessively tick off boxes once things are done and my work and social calendar are packed with events, usually until the following year. I love being busy and without a full calendar and to-do list, I find it extremely hard to cope. It is not unusual for me to have it all mapped out and sometimes I wish I could plan every single moment in my life.

Bears and their cubs

The beauty of grey hair
I was on the train home one day when a bunch of school girls came onto my carriage. The only other people on the carriage were an elderly lady, a young man and I. While I watched they came and sat in the seats closest to this older woman. At first I didn't think anything much until I heard one of them start to poke fun at her.

The Sydney Swans emerged victorious with a 14-7 (91) to 11-15 (81) win in a pulsating encounter played in front of 99,683 rabid fans. The result was sealed only a minute from full time with a wonderful snap from Swans defender Nick Malceski, who kicked off the Swans scoring in the first quarter in similar fashion.

Sounds like a job for Super Christian!
Most people in the church today secretly think missionaries are a 'different kind of Christian'. Evangelism – 'Oh, we'll leave that for the missionaries'... Reaching out to people of different cultures – 'That's definitely not for me'… Providing practical care and love alongside Christian witness – 'Sounds like a job for the missionaries'. We've tricked ourselves into thinking God's mission is a task for 'Super Christians' only.

Evolution: Science? Science Hypothesis? or Science Theory?
If you didn't read my first article a month ago, here's a quick recap. My cousin is an evolutionist who I no longer debate with because he's smarter than me. My own personal bias meant that I never gave scientific theories a fighting chance. We need to be open minded If we want to discover all of the amazing wondrous things there are to learn about God's creation.
