The sin of judgement
As a Christian and as a scientist there are two ways that I can look at natural disasters. One is that they are the judgement of God and, the other as a purely natural phenomenon with natural causes..

Why I became a church youth leader
Want a job with no pay, odd hours (Fridays nights compulsory) and lots of headaches? You will work with an often inexperienced, untrained workforce, and be working for an organisation which many believe is old fashioned and boring. Your clientele are often noisy, self centred, and notorious for showing up in large numbers when least expected or not showing up all when much planning and preparation has gone into an event.

Nothing new under the sun
It all seems so harmless at the beginning. Someone writes a comment, taps a keyboard and posts their feelings on a virtual wall for hundreds of people to see. This comment has now gone viral. After a few minutes, various people begin to view the comment before posting very public replies or taunts in this case, before a community of online users.

He's got the whole world in his hands
Those people who have grown up within Church life have been involved in Sunday school at some point and are familiar with this phrase, "He\'s got the whole world in his hands". It's part of a cute little song that I remember learning as a child. However, it is only as a Christian adult that I find I've come to realise the power of that simple statement.
