Transhumanism, humanity, and the Gospel
I am Xerxes ruler of Persia. Demi-god to which the nations bow and rulers pay homage. My empire sprawls beyond India in the east and the Mediterranean Sea in the west. No one matches my greatness. .

Ice packs
A few days ago I had to get my wisdom teeth extracted. Despite sleep and a few pain killers – the best way I have found to reduce soreness is a good old ice pack. The feeling of the pain being numbed and the swelling going down instantly makes the whole situation so much better.

The importance of a humble demeanour
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Matthew 5 verses 5-9, KJV) Humility allows us to be respectful of others. It drives out arrogance, boastfulness, vanity and aggressiveness. Instead of saying "Me first

Greatest preachers of the twentieth century
As an occasional web surfer I came across a list of great preachers of the twentieth century which sounded interesting as I have the distinction, like millions upon millions of others around the world, as a listener of sermons.
