  • Change your life by changing how you think

There was a scorpion standing by the side of a river and he wanted to get to the other side, but scorpions cannot swim. He saw a frog nearby and called to him saying, “Hey frog! Would you carry me on your back to the other side of the river?” The frog replied, “No way! You will sting me and I’ll die!” The scorpion promised he would not sting the frog and eventually persuaded the frog to carry him across the river.

  • How to love your neighbour: applying the 3 biblical loves

If there’s a word in the English language that is so overused it has lost it’s meaning, it would have to be the word, Love.

  • Radioactive spiders

If you ever get bitten by a radioactive spider, as happened to Peter Parker who became Spiderman, then you will need to take the advice Peter’s Uncle Ben gave him. (Yes, I know it’s a comic strip but the value of the advice is very real).

  • Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand

With these words John the Baptist, Jesus Christ and the twelve apostles after Pentecost began their ministries. It was a powerful call to the people of the early church and it is a powerful call today.

  • Nothing changes until something changes

Around this time of the year, I start thinking about change. I noted that my article at this same time last year spoke about change too, which proves my point.

  • Can forgiveness heal your heartburn?

The extent of my medical expertise does not stretch much further than putting a band-aid on a cut to keep the dirt out and to prevent it bleeding all over the place.

  • Out of the abundance of the heart

In the period following the crash of the world stock exchanges in 1929, the world fell into the worst economic depression known in modern times.

  • The world is flat

The world is flat! At least that’s what people believed until Christopher Columbus came along to prove it was a myth.

  • Whom Can You Believe?

There is a saying in journalism, especially in trash journalism, “Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.”

  • Speaking to God

As a child, I read a lot of comics. In fact, it was how I learned to read and developed a lifelong love of reading.
