Bev has previously spent a few years living in India as a Christian missionary, and has seen first-hand, the ravaging effects of poverty. With a passion to see the lives of the Dalit children changed, and be a voice for them, she will go on a six week walk starting out from Sydney Opera house on October 1, 2011 for a total of 43 days.
Bev is joined by Juni Hoel, and few other team members will join parts of the walk as support.
On November 13, 2011 the duo will arrive back in Melbourne finishing up with an all night walking event called the 'Moonwalk'.
On their website, Bev said: "I'm desperate to see the lives of the Dalit children changed, and want to be a voice for them. These Dalit kids will never have a chance to be in a position that we here in Australia are in today! "
"We would love for you to come and cheer us on as we leave, and to welcome us home, even to join the last 45km with us! So keep these dates free."
