Moreover, Peter Tsui is confident that the policy will be retained and that it will continue to uphold religious freedoms for Christian Churches.
Prior to taking on the ministry as the General Secretary of the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong, Peter Tsui was the Senior Pastor of the Chinwun Baptist Church, a pastoral role he held for 10 years.
The Baptist Convention of Hong Kong has a major focus to see the lost won to Salvation, saved to eternal life, he explained.
Peter Tsui noted that in Hong Kong Baptist Churches the personal testimony is held very dear and so precious that it is utilised every Sunday. Perhaps, this is due to the One Country, Two Systems policy, in that they recognise that politics can change without warning and the freedoms they now experience may not always be there.
The personal testimony therefore becomes a pertinent tool for evangelism where freedom is held so dear. Hong Kong Baptists engage in street ministry, crusades and much other evangelical work besides.
Peter Tsui sees a very bright future for evangelism in Hong Kong and he is very optimistic and reassured that the various Baptist congregations are in good hands. Prayer is a major part of their life as Christians in Hong Kong, that souls be won for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.
