Afterwards, Kwalena told Mark Tronson that as a Ghanian delegate for Baptist work he has attended numerous major African and international conferences for many years, but he has never before been invited to make a contribution, other than to attend and be blessed.
He went on to explain: "This very morning as I prayed in my private devotions, I sought of the Lord Jesus Christ that today, he might be given the opportunity to make a contribution.
"Then you invited me to be interviewed on the Australian Missionary News IPTV (Television on the Internet), and my contribution will be available world wide!"
He mentioned to Mark Tronson twice more that day, how astounded he was that this marvellous answer to his prayer had been granted in his service to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Kwalena Kyei Akomah is the pastor of the Central Charismatic Baptist Church in the city of Asanti which has a population of 5 million. He sees his task as the Shepherd of the flock of God to his congregation of 600 people. The main aim of his congregation is to see souls won for Jesus Christ.
His church was the first indigenous Baptist congregation in the nation, built on the firm foundation of the Baptist work that was initiated in Ghana in 1952. This work has been greatly expanded by the President and General Secretary of the Ghana Baptist Union of Churches.
There is great promise for Baptist ministry in Ghana, explained Kwalena Kyei Akomah. He is overjoyed to be part of this ongoing work, and he is grateful to the Australian Missionary News IPTV to have the opportunity to explain his role to the rest of the world.
